Exciting career in dance opportunities throughout New England! Fred Astaire Dance Studios are seeking energetic and passionate dancers with excellent people skills to teach adult Ballroom, Social and Latin dancing. Several full-time positions available. Performance opportunities and training available. No experience in teaching Social or Ballroom dancing necessary, but a strong dance background and willingness to learn is important. Male Dancer/Actor needed for “Brilliant Being”
Casting 1 male dancer/actor. $1000.00 flat rate + travel and lodging for rehearsals and shows.
Strong contemporary dance technique, comfortable with improvisation and partnering. Theatrical/acting experience a plus. Willingness to explore the use of voice/sound.

“Brilliant Being,” a devised work using dance and technology evolving synchronously through collaboration with a team of artists/faculty members from the Music, Theatre, and Dance Departments at Plymouth State University, including NH-based choreographer Amanda Whitworth of Tributary Dance NH; projection mapper, scenographer, and technologist Matt Kizer; playwrite Paul Mroczka and composer Jonathan Santore. Show is expected to tour lightly in 2016 – 2017.

Jazz and tap teacher wanted in Reading, MA
LaPierre School of Dance located in Reading Mass. is looking for a motivated, upbeat, responsible and experienced tap and jazz teacher to instruct our Intermediate and Advanced levels for our 2016/2017 season. These classes are held on Tuesday nights 5:15 – 8:45 pm. Some choreography is required for our Spring Concert (and possible choreography for our dance teams). Excellent pay!

The Somerville Public Schools is looking for a dynamic educator to lead the Dance Program’s first year! It is a great opportunity to be involved and have influence in the direction of the program and teach the its first students. This position has a great opportunity for increased teaching responsibilities as this is our first year running the Boston Ballet’s ECI on location at our Middle Schools. When these students arrive at the High School, they will be ready to enroll in our Dance Program! Additionally, a new Somerville High School will be completed in 2020 with state-of-the-art performance and practice venues.
In this introductory course, students will strengthen their self-esteem, explore their personal creativity, and broaden their sense of self-expression through the study of various dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Ballroom dance.
