The Assistant Theatre Manager is a member of the Jacob’s Pillow Marketing department and reports directly to the Patron Services Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the patron experience at Jacob’s Pillow, including supervising House Management and Patron Services Interns and volunteer ushers. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and management of volunteers, handling of on-site patron questions and concerns, managing the weather contingency plan for outdoor performances, working in the box office, and serving as an integral part of the Pillow’s customer service team. Choreographer for All Newton Music School Summer Camp
The Music Explorers Summer Camp at All Newton Music School seeks a movement and choreography instructor. The faculty member would be responsible for preparing and teaching several age appropriate movement classes daily to children ages 5 – 9. The faculty member collaborates with the music faculty in designing and teaching choreography for the camp musical that is performed at the end of each session. Additional responsibilities include assisting the camp director with occasional tasks such as lunch supervision shifts.
For over 30 years, Music Explorers Summer Camp has provided music, musical theater and art programming to children from Newton and the surrounding communities. The program is divided into two sessions throughout the month of July, with each session welcoming approximately 45 students. Each session culminates in a Music Explorers Festival showcasing student performances and artwork.
Background in dance education and choreography with additional experience teaching children ages 5-9 in a group setting. Ability to work as part of a team of music and art professionals, and provide leadership for high school and college aged counselors. Positive, calm demeanor and with a creative approach to problem solving is key.
Candidates should be available for orientation and set-up on Friday June 29 and from July 2 – July 27 (July 4 closed) Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:15pm.

Spring Dance instructor for 4-8 year old children
Hill House is seeking to hire an experienced, energetic, focused and enthusiastic individual to teach creative dance, ballet and combination ballet and tap classes to children ages 4 to 8 years old.

The Dance Instructor will work with a maximum of ten students of diverse ability in a classroom setting. Instructors will independently plan, choreograph and teach “Storybook Ballet” and “Tap & Hip Hop”, guiding students toward personal growth.
Dance Instructor must be a nurturing, mature, and responsible fun-loving individual who loves to share their passion for dance with students between the ages of four and eight. Instructor must be capable of independently leading age-appropriate dance classes that include sufficient warm-up games,dance combinations, floor work and center work for all levels,culminating in a small performance at the end of the ten session class.
Instructors will create a positive, safe environment where all students feel secure to explore creativity and improve dancing ability. We are looking for an instructor who will go above and beyond for our families and will create a high quality class.
The Dance Instructor is a part time position that meets on Wednesday from 4:15 to 5:00 for “Storybook Ballet” followed by 5:00 – 6:00 “Tap & Hip Hop”. Programs will run for 10 weeks during the spring session Classes run from March 14 through May 16.
Successful instructors will be given the opportunity for future classes.
