The hour-long piece Invisible: Imprints from Racism, is a mixed genre performance that utilizes modern and hip hop dancers from beheard.world’s cast who combine with three of Boston’s finest poets to plumb the emotional issues of race in urban America. Under the directorial leadership of choreographer Anna Myer and playwright Jay Paris, the performance explores the difficult parameters of what divides us but also what is available beyond anger and victimization to what we share in common that can lead us to empathy. The full length piece is enhanced by the music of Andrew Bird. The piece is followed by Q and A with the cast.
