Welcome to four days of art that matters, that in the words of founder Leonard Bernstein, “revives and readapts time and space.”

The annual Festival of the Creative Arts showcases nationally acclaimed performers and visual artists together with music, dance, theater, and artwork by more than 300 Brandeis students and alumni.

Dance at the festival includes Fafali, the music department’s traditional Ghanaian drum and dance ensemble, dances tokoe with Ghanaian artist Koblavi Dogah, and performs the royal Ashanti drum rhythms of southern Ghana with Attah Poku. Also featured, a solo dance by Koblavi Dogah and an original arrangement of Ghanaian rhythms for drumset and percussion.

All events, including a variety of  dance parties with live music, are free and open to the public.
