After a successful inaugural year, MADance Screen Salon returns to Toronto on November 14-15, 2008
with a stimulating program of five dance-on-film screenings: RetroMAD, MAD About Bravo!FACT, CurrentlyMAD,
MADstudents and MADkitchens. Encouraging the development of the dance-on-film community in Canada and
abroad, we invite filmmakers, choreographers, artists and film-buffs from Canada and the United States to submit
their work to one or more of our screenings listed below. It is the mandate of the MADance Screen Salon to
celebrate the work of emerging and established artists engaged in the creation of movement and dance inspired
film.

MADance Screen Salon 2008 is accepting applications for 3 screenings:

1) CurrentlyMAD will showcase fully completed works from dance & movement filmmakers in Canada and the US.
- Films must have at least one of the following based in North America: Director or Choreographer or Performer
- Films can be no longer than 12 minutes (including credits)

2) MADstudents will showcase fully completed works from emerging movement & film students in Canada and the US.
This session is a great opportunity for young creators to share their work in a public setting amongst peers and
established artists.
- Films must have at least one of the following based in North America: Director or Choreographer or Performer
- Films can be no longer than 3 minutes (including credits)

3) MADkitchens will showcase fully completed works from dance & movement filmmakers in Canada. For this program
we are accepting ‘creation proposals’ that explore the concept of ‘Kitchens’ – anything goes.
- Creation proposals must explore the concept of ‘Kitchens’
- Proposals must include at least one of the following based in Canada: Director or Choreographer or Performer
- Proposed films can be no longer than 5 minutes (including credits)
