Two works of edgy classicism: Ligeti Essays to music from the late Hungarian composer Gyorgy Ligeti, and an explosion of the pas de deux with The Watteau Duets to live music by David Linton with keyboard-and-drum duo TALIBAM!
All performances run one hour, end with an additional 15-minute Q&A with the artists, are are held in Concord Academy's fully air-conditioned 400-seat Performing Arts Center. On Thursday evenings, audience members may also attend a pre-performance open rehearsal in the Studio/Performance Space.
Tickets: $25, $15 students and seniors

The world premiere of a new media/movement collaboration that addresses the anxieties of self-expression in an increasingly fragmented and distributed culture. The artists use the metaphor of digital media as an enveloping, inescapable extension of the body itself. The piece was commissioned and developed by Summer Stages Dance, in association with the Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, the Regional Dance Development Initiative of the New England Foundation for the Arts, and Vermont Performance Lab.
