About THRILLS AND TRILLS: Kira is honored to have been awarded a grant from the Dedham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a State Agency, for this show. Because of this grant and other professional fees she will receive, Kira is pleased to be able to offer this concert for free! This concert will feature Kira re-choreographing one of her favorite pieces, 'Memoirs of a Dancer'. She has a magnificent new black kimono jacket which she will use as part of the costume for this piece. She also will dance with 2 fans!! The original piece used one fan to suggest the Asian-Japanese quality of the work, and adding the extra fan proved to reinvent this piece and add a lot of flair to the work. She will also rechoreograph another Asian piece she did in 2009, which traced the topic of Chinese Footbinding! Additionally, Kira will debut another dance that uses the same music she will also play on the piano. For the piano works, she will include difficult and beautiful works.
