The concert, inspired by a letter Joanie wrote to a young woman on the occasion of her Bat Mitzvah, explores the meaning of transitions in women’s lives. The idea that the “inner girl” accompanies women through all stages of life is at the core of the production. An original score by Billy Novick, sets by Linda Klein, videography by Lynn Bikofsky and choreography by Joanie come together in 5 dances exploring the life span of a woman under the watchful and guiding eye of a young girl’s spirit.
