Featuring Christine Fricker : Presented by Prometheus
At ICA (100 Northern Ave Boston, MA)
"One of the most visually stunning, and physically gratifying, companies in the area." – The Boston Herald
See dance performed throughout the museum in Inventories of Animated Bodies, a work created by French choreographer Christine Fricker. As you travel throughout the museum, you will chance upon these installations of bodies in movement and can observe them in close proximity, almost as if viewing an art object.
Performed by dancers from Prometheus Dance and The Elders Ensemble,Inventories of Animated Bodies reveals and celebrates personalities by exposing the bodies of professional artists from various backgrounds as well as the bodies of amateur dancers of various ages and body types. This interactive project exposes the singularity and diversity of the imaginary worlds, body constructions, postures, limits, and weaknesses that define each one of us.
Christine Fricker is a choreographer and teacher, and the founder of Compagnie Itinerrances in Marseille, France.
