The Boston Babydolls are back with an exciting new show – "Unlucky in Love".
"Unlucky in Love" is a romantic burlesque cabaret featuring live music, lush vocals, and "The Best Burlesque in Boston" (Boston Phoenix; Weekly Dig). We'll be taking over the new Davis Square Theatre for our run from January 27 through Valentine's Day. The Davis Square Theatre is the perfect setting for The Boston Babydolls brand of intimate theatre. A 140-seat house which is literally underground, it shares the basement level of 255 Elm Street with Saloon, the gorgeous new bar from the owners of The Foundry.
Unlucky in Love tells the story of a hapless writer penning a guide to romance. What he doesn't know about woman can fill a book, and in each vignette The Boston Babydolls teach him a new lesson. The show ups the production values for the Boston burlesque scene to a whole new level with a live band and singers, while keeping the elements of magic, variety, comedy, and striptease you've come to expect from a Boston Babydolls show.
