We are thrilled to offer two workshops:
Duos on Multiple Aerial Apparatus with Molly Baechtold: During this workshop students will apply duo techniques across three different apparatuses, silks, lyra, and trapeze. Mirrored shapes, partial basing, as well as full basing will be explored. Learn classic duo skills and expand on them with creative challenges. Prerequisites: must be comfortable on at least two of the apparatuses and partnering with others.
Dance-based Low Sling with Deanna Pellecchia: Discover the fluidity and freedom of aerial dance, supported by a sling of fabric hung close to the ground. Explore the unpredictability of the sling, partnering the sling, owning your movement, mastering suspension and weight-transfer, integration of ground and air, and being unapologetic in performance. Class is appropriate for those new to aerial dance as well as seasoned aerialists.Prerequisites: previous movement experience(a semester of dance, yoga, martial arts, physical theater)
