Tony Williams Ballet Company, producer of the Urban Nutcracker, is auditioning for company and non-company members for an as yet unnamed, modern, rock & jazz ballet to be performed at the Oberon in Harvard Square. The show will take place from May 25-27, 2017.
Rehearsals will begin the first week of February, typically on Tuesday/Thursday during the day and Satuday/Sunday during the afternoon/early evening. You must have available 3 out of 4 of these days to be considered for most pieces in the show due to the fast rehearsal period.
We are looking for VERSATILE male and female dancers over the age of 18 (women with proficient pointe skills) who easily mold into other dance styles, including more acrobatic, modern, tap, jazz, etc.
We especially need dancers who are very charismatic and have a heightened stage presence. You should be familiar with popular rock and jazz music from the past fifty years from hard rock to pop music.
