Racines Black Dance Festival Performance: One People Together

The Racines Black Dance Festival is the first and only dance conference that embraces the wide spectrum of Black Dance that evolved across the Americas, in addition to the traditional dances of West Africa. The opening night performance will showcase artists that embrace the continuum—from Hip Hop and House to traditional West African dance and drumming.

Free pre-show panel & discussion with two of our teaching artists 5-6:30!  Moncell Durden and Yesenia Fernandez-Selier will talk about The History & Significance of the Circle in African-rooted Dance, followed by an open discussion with the audience.
