Awarded an Opportunity Fund Grant from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston, Director and choreographer Erica Schwartz presents her piece The Shape of Tears on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in an outdoor free performance showcasing dancers: Jeryl Palana Pilapil-Brown, Jason Jordan, Avery Saulnier de Reyes, Ashley Eng and Janelle Gilchrist. The dance is inspired by the book, The Topography of Tears by Rose-Lynn Fisher who explored how images of tears examined under a microscope and magnified, change depending on an emotional event. The performance at 4pm is at One Westinghouse Plaza, Hyde Park, MA. In addition to the dance performance The Arts Festival at Westinghouse will begin at 3pm with The Lofts Gallery Opening show, Nightscapes, outdoor artist exhibits and sales, music performance by Chrysalis, art activities for children and Roundhead Brewing Company and a taco food truck on the premises.
