Famed Columbian choreographer, dancer, and social change entrepreneur Álvaro Restrepo will introduce the main principles of his philosophy and methodology of El Colegio del Cuerpo (The School of the Body): Education for Dance and with Dance.

Álvaro Restrepo is founder and director of El Colegio del Cuerpo – eCdC (The School of the Body), a space created for youth and the general public to approach the expressive and artistic dimension of the human body through contemporary dance. More than 8,000 children from the most deprived areas of Cartagena have come through the program.

Mr. Restrepo is also the founder of the Athanor Danza company and the eCdC professional company. A leading figure of Latin American contemporary dance, Mr. Restrepo’s work is seen in more than 50 countries across the globe. This class is for dancers age 18 + and open to all levels of experience. Observers welcome.

Participation is free but online registration is REQUIRED for both participants and observers. First-come, first-served, with priority given to Harvard University Undergraduate Students.
