Beginner Jazz Workshop

Designed for those with little to no dance training, this 5-week workshop introduces students to jazz dance using the Simonson Technique, a thoughtful approach to movement that prepares students to dance in a way that is anatomically intelligent and physically aware. Students will learn dance vocabulary and movement through a series of exercises designed to develop strength and get you moving! A thorough warm-up and deep stretching is followed by exercises across the floor and a combination set to a variety of music styles. Experienced dancers who are new to jazz, as well as those looking for a slow-moving refresher course, are also welcome.
