Boston-based BOMBAntillana, led by Eli Pabon, hosts NYC’s own Redobles de Cultura on May 5th for an afternoon of Bomba Percussion and Dance workshops followed by a collaborative performance by Redobles De Cultura and BOMBAntillana at this year’s Wake Up The Earth Festival!

Bomba is an Afro-puertorican music and dance form created by our ancestors for celebration, identity, survival, ritual, resistance and healing that stems back to the beginning of the colonization of Puerto Rico (Boriken). Today Bomba is being reclaimed by DiaspoRicans in various cities across North America as well as on the Island.

1pm – Bomba Percussion, 2pm – Bomba Dance
