New York City-based Guest Artists Cameron McKinney and Joe Monteleone host a dual workshop, offering students a chance to experience two different, cutting edge movement languages. Both choreographers have extensive national and international teaching experience, and exhibit some of New York City’s most innovative dance styles. Inspired by lofting in house dance culture, Cameron blends contemporary floor work with the speed and fluidity of streetdance, capoeira, and house dance. Joe’s unprecedented movement vocabulary, “Apophenia”, intricately combines geometric design with nuanced classical form to create a hypnotic onslaught of hieroglyphic movement patterns.
