“Social Animals” is an evening of modern dance that explores the theme of sociality and community throughout the animal kingdom. Each dance draws inspiration from a type of animal social behavior, including schooling in fish, family structure in elephants, culture in whales, and honeybee hives. But, “Social Animals” isn’t your typical dance performance – we’ll also ask you to interact with our dancing to help build and support an ever-changing ant colony. Join us as together we examine how sociality has shaped the animal kingdom…and ourselves.
