Libby Bullinger Snyder (she/they) is a dance educator, choreographer, and arts administrator from Boston, MA. She grew up studying ballet at José Mateo Ballet Theatre and went on to earn a BFA in Dance and a BA in Dance Education from Mercyhurst University. Libby currently serves as a faculty member at the Boston Ballet School and José Mateo Ballet Theatre, where she works with students of all ages and levels. Additionally, Libby directs Dance LAB Creative, a contemporary dance collective involving professional dance artists in choreographic projects.
In addition to their teaching and choreographic work, Libby serves in administration roles at José Mateo Ballet Theatre as a programs administrator and coordinator for the annual Nutcracker. As an administrator, LIbby combines her knowledge of the arts with clear, effective communication to help ensure information flows smoothly among artists, staff, and audiences. They provide an innovative, forward-thinking approach to support artists in realizing their vision. Libby is thrilled to join the BDA team to help strengthen connections and support movement artists across the Boston dance community.
