Absurdist Performance for Absurd Times: An Experimental Cabaret
In Absurdist Performance for Absurd Times, Sleeping Weazel meets the hysteria of our political moment with an evening of rambunctious chaos through the subversive stylings of virtuosic singer Marshall Hughes, choreographer Peter DiMuro’s performance art duet with Alex Davis, composer/musician Reynaliz Herrera playing her bicycle, and a stark raving mad little play, Naomi in the Living Room, by Christopher Durang.
This buoyant Experimental Cabaret will have audiences falling out of their seats, laughing and crying at once, and lifted off the ground in levitational moments of the sublime. Our aim is to create exponential cellular awakening and community upheaval of the joyful kind.
Performances on Saturday, October 18 at 8:00pm and Sunday, October 19 at 7:00pm
This event will take place in Studio 7, which is fully ADA compliant and located on the ground floor of The Dance Complex.
