Interlude invites audiences into the quiet, resonant spaces between moments where breath, reflection, and transformation unfold. Presented by the Harvard Ballet Company, this spring dance performance explores the beauty of transition through an evening of student choreography blending classical and contemporary ballet. The program also features a newly commissioned work by former New York City Ballet principal Lauren Lovette and includes guest collaborations with the Mozart Society Orchestra and the Harvard Contemporary Collective. Neither a beginning nor an ending, an interlude is a pause, a space to listen, to feel, and to notice what often goes unseen. Through evocative movement and musical collaboration, Interlude reflects the shared experience of dancers navigating the in-between: between past and future, stillness and motion, discipline and discovery. In a fast-paced academic world defined by constant momentum, this production offers a rare invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and witness the power of presence, connection, and transformation that emerges in moments of pause.
