Project 31 Seeks Artists and Apprentices for its 2019-2020 Season:
Artists & Apprentices must be available for rehearsal Sundays September-May. Rehearsals take place at Velocity Dance Company in Quincy. Artists & Apprentices will have the opportunity to perform in two Project 31 produced concerts at Boston University Dance Theater as well have numerous performance opportunities.
Artists: Versatile dancers with strong ballet and modern technique and the ability to find boldness and vulnerability on stage.
Apprentices: Dancers 16+ that meet the above criteria and have the maturity to work in a professional environment. Apprentices must be training a minimum of 4 hours per week outside of rehearsal and company class.
Dancers should be prepared to learn across the floor progressions, combinations in modern, jazz, and contemporary ballet, as well as participate in improvisation. Dancers are encouraged to prepare an optional 1-minute solo.
