Asian American Ballet on the Bay
Step onto Boston’s waterfront for a free outdoor performance celebrating the richness of Asian American artistry through live ballet, interactive experiences, and opportunities to engage with dancers beyond the stage.
On June 20 at 4pm (rain date: June 21), Asian American Ballet Project (AABP) and Project Asian Joy are bringing ballet rooted in Asian American stories and experiences out of the theater and onto the Harborwalk—creating a shared public space where Asian communities feel centered, welcomed, and seen. Whether you’re a longtime lover of dance or discovering ballet for the first time, we warmly invite you to join us for live performance, playful audience participation, and opportunities to connect directly with dancers.
Together, we’ll reimagine what ballet can look like when it belongs to everyone.
Free and open to the public. All are welcome.
There are also free ferry rides from 3-5 pm, looping between:
- Lewis Mall in East Boston
- Central Wharf
- Fan Pier
