Based in Oakland, California, BANDALOOP is renowned for its vertical dance performances in a vast range of settings. Whether dancing on an urban heritage site or hanging off cliffs in the Yosemite National Park, the company brings an extraordinary sensitivity to the site, combining aesthetics with a deep love and respect for the natural and built environment. All the dancers in the company’s current roster have a modern dance background, and receive rigorous training in strength and aerial technique to master the company’s signature vertical dance style.

This acclaimed and unique troupe will perform six times over the course of two days as a part of the Pendleton West celebration. Performances will feature live music performed by Wellesley music faculty. Additionally, BANDALOOP’s rehearsals on the new Pendleton West music addition will be visible starting Tuesday and throughout the week to passers-by.

These performances are free and open to the public.
