Windhover Center for the Performing Arts in Rockport, MA, hosts soloist Soumya Rajaram and her Samskrithi Ensemble of Indian dancers on Sunday, September 10th from 5:00pm -6:30pm. Considered as the oldest classical dance form, Bharatanatyam originated in the temples of Southern India. Mimiliṣā (Desire to Meet) , a Bharatanatyam performance is a must see at Windhover’s magical outdoor stage that merges seamlessly with the enchantment of nature around you. Audience and stage are under a large tent with open sides so performances occur rain or shine.
