The Boston Open DanceSport – Ballroom Dance Championship is a full day event of competitions, shows and workshops, outlining the grace and skills of the ballroom dance contestants. The competitive rounds are mixed with intervals of social ballroom dancing and fun games with the audience. The event will conclude with award ceremony for the winners.
Featuring will be dances like Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha-cha, Rumba, Salsa with traditional Country Western Division. We are expecting 400 dancers from all over the States as well as couples from Canada and Europe. There will be events in 9 divisions in American Style Smooth and Rhythm and additional 10 other dances in International Style Standard and Latin. Participants will be separated in 5 age categories and by proficiency levels. They will be judged by 7 world certificated adjudicators.
The events are open to the public with discounted admission for seniors and students.
