Two evenings of an interplay of image, music, sound, and movement featuring five professional dancers. Like a dream, River Spirits evokes water’s power to wash away, move, create liquid flow, support life, turn into ice, and become nature’s sparkling mirror. The piece plays with and celebrates the central place of the Assabet in the making of Maynard’s landscape, history, stories, wildlife, and imagination.
