World premiere concert and masterworks with live orchestra!

Dance master Paul Taylor is arguably the greatest living choreographer. At an age when most artists’ greatest work is long behind them, he continues to create works that are vibrant, powerful, and thoroughly new. Fifty years after his first appearance in Providence, Taylor returns with his namesake company for the premiere of his newest work—The Open Door—in advance of it’s NYC run at Lincoln Center. This thrilling concert event includes the company’s first-ever Rhode Island performance of Esplanade—Taylor’s exuberant masterwork set to J.S Bach’s Double Violin Concerto and Violin Concerto No. 2 in E Major, performed by members of the Brown University Orchestra with special guest soloists, conducted by Paul Phillips.
