Raise Your Voice! for Disabilities Dance is an open community conversation for anyone at the intersection of dance and disability – dancers, choreographers, advocates, teachers, etc. Dancers will lead an opening and closing movement exercise to ground all who gather in the topic at hand- DANCE. This event is the first step of The Dance Complex’s BLOOM Platform Raising initiative in which it will engage specific dance communities to build better relationship, offer resources of space and administrative support, and help elevate into a thriving future.

At this first event with the disabilities dance community several dancers will briefly share their takeaways from previous conversations as a starting point for furthering the discussion. Time will be spent exploring ways in which The Dance Complex might specifically address the needs, hopes, and concerns of the community on the local level, dance and healing, and other topics offered by those present.
