Neena Gulati and the Triveni Ensemble are back for our Annual April Fundraiser to present Rakshasi, an exciting modern twist on three styles of Indian Classical Dance, ancient myths, and storytelling. Our new, original choreography, complex rhythmic footwork, elegant movements of the hands, eyes and neck, and this year’s unique emotional exploration of the demoness, will leave you mesmerized. Triveni has made ancient tales accessible to all audiences since 1971 by providing narration to demystify the meaning behind each piece. We hope you will join us so we can share with you the stories of Rakshasi. All proceeds will go to the American Nepal Medical Foundation, specifically contributing to disaster relief from the recent earthquakes.
