Saxyn Dance Works from New York City returns to Windhover Center for the Performing Arts to perform Thryn Saxon’s newest work Seolh based on the Scottish myth of the “selkies”… mythic sea creatures, half woman, half seal, that embody the human quest for freedom. Presenting immersive dance performances on Thursday September 7th and Friday September 8th from 7:00-8:30pm. The show takes place in the spellbinding ambiance of Windhover’s outdoor theatre. Audience and stage are under a large tent with open sides so performances occur rain or shine. Saxyn Dance Works collaborates with Singer/Songwriter Bre Short who will perform live, bringing you breathtaking choreography that sings a story and maps the rhythm of your heartbeat, while surrounded by backdrops full of nature’s grandeur. This experience is sure to unfold the love of dance, mythology and storytelling in an unforgettable fashion!
