The Department of Theater and Dance at Amherst College, in collaboration with Five College Dance, invites applications for a Five College Joint Lecturer in dance of Africa and/or the African Diaspora. The position is full time, with a term of four years, and is renewable at the lecturer rank, to begin on July 1, 2024. Candidates for this position should have expertise in African and/or African diasporic dance technique and dance traditions.
We will consider candidates with either a terminal degree (either an M.F.A. or a Ph.D.) or equivalent professional experience.
