Join us for Bodies of Water, Bodies of Memory, a free intergenerational community gathering honoring the legacy of the 1975 Carson Beach Wade-In.

Together, we’ll gather through storytelling, Wampanoag stomp dance, Afroboricua Bomba, live music, guided movement, and a collective Wade-In as we reflect on the histories carried by our waters and the communities who have gathered along these shores in pursuit of dignity, joy, and freedom.

Whether you come to listen, move, reflect, or simply spend a meaningful morning in community, all are welcome.

What to bring: Comfortable clothing, sun protection, a beach chair, and, if you’d like to participate in the Wade-In, clothes you don’t mind getting wet.
