The master workshop on choreographic composition is designed as an in-studio movement and dance improvisation session that serves as a creative laboratory for participants. The session is divided into two main parts. The first part focuses on a discussion of choreographic terminology, providing a foundational understanding for all attending artists. The second part encourages participants to generate original movement vocabulary through spontaneously and with guided tasks, fostering movement experimentation and “dance happenings” by engaging in various “choreographic games.”

Vladimir Angelov is an accomplished choreographer, published author, and the Founder and Executive Director of the International Choreography Organization and Networking Services – Dance ICONS, Inc. This global association and network for choreographers provides resources and information to more than 4,300 choreographers worldwide. Most recently, Angelov published a new book on choreographic craft and creative practices, YOU, THE CHOREOGRAPHER – Creating and Crafting Dance , released by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group, London and New York, 2024.
