Dances at Noon: What’s Real? Swift Charakterz, Breaksesh, and the Question of Commodification

An interactive demonstration of Breakin’ as community dance practice. Over the course of 45 minutes to an hour, Swift Charakterz invites you to get involved. The demonstration blends workshop elements with an ongoing cypher, allowing participants to get involved to whatever degree they are interested in (e.g. observing the cypher, learning on the side one-on-one with members of the crew, dancing the circle). There will be a DJ cutting the music live.

Free and open to the public. No registration required. Free parking available.
