This residential weekend workshop is designed for anyone wanting an intensive experience of dance as a creative art experience.
Participants with all levels of experience will explore individual and group dance improvisation studies based on principles of dance developed by somatic dance pioneer Barbara Mettler (1907–2002) The setting near the ocean at Rockport provides opportunities for outdoor dancing with environmental themes as well as indoor dancing,
Arrive after 5 pm on Friday for orientation and getting settled into lodging. Class is 9 am to 3:30 pm Sat. and Sunday.
Housing at Windhover is in rustic cabins with shared bath facilities. bring your own food that can be kept and prepared in Windhover’s ample shared kitchen. Restaurants are also available nearby.
Fee: $230 covers tuition and housing for Friday and Saturday nights.
