Devising an original Dance-Movement Theatre Piece with NYC Director and Choreographer Allison Talis.

Looking for performers who can move, dancers and actors to be a part of an exciting and powerful process to create a long-awaited piece of Dance Theatre. The piece, co-created with the astounding dancer and singer, Lexy Lattimore- is exploring the healing of ancestral trauma through embodied ritual, collective memory and how the ancient meets us in the here and now. Grounded in Allison’s trauma-informed methodology, Emotion in Motion™, the work asks: What do we carry that no longer belongs to us? How do we break patterns that keep us hiding, running, lashing out or repeating? What happens when we remember we belong to each other—and to the Earth? What is the true remembrance that might heal and liberate us all? (to name a few)

At the confluence of decades immersed in study, training, professional and personal experience, Allison developed Emotion-in-Motion as a process for creating her work. With over 26 years as a theatre director, collaborative choreographer, integrative somatic practitioner and Historical trauma specialist, Allison is calling those who want to be a part of this process.
