Boston Youth Moves Placement Auditions (Teens)
Calling All Teens!
Boston Youth Moves (BYM), the city’s premier dance education program for teens, will host a placement audition for its 2016-2017 program on May 14th at 4:30 pm. Auditions will be held at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, 261 Friend St., Boston.
The audition will consist of a ballet barre warm-up with modern and jazz across-the-floor progressions and a center-floor combination. Pre-registration is required and those auditioning should bring appropriate dancewear.
There is no cost to audition and it is open to teens of all levels of dance experience.

Martha’s Artist Salon at the BCA Call for Proposals
Boston Center for the Arts’ artist-led Salon Series, Martha’s is a community conversation, created to give Boston area dancers and choreographers an avenue to share knowledge about contemporary dance as it is practiced and presented around the world. Each session is led by a host who offers a short presentation identifying an idea or exemplar that they feel is important to understanding why dance looks like it does today.
We are looking for hosts for the fall season. If you are interested, please send a proposal listing:

Martha’s Salons take place at Boston Center for the Arts on Mondays or Tuesdays between 5:30 and 8 pm. Presentations typically run from 6:00-7:00 with mingling time before and after.
We are currently looking for Fall hosts on Monday September 12, Monday October 24 and Tuesday November 29, 2016
Past presentation topics have included Bill T. Jones, Ivo Dimchev, Percussive Dance and Merce Cunningham.
BCA Choreographers’ Residency 2016-2017 Call for Applications
The Choreographers’ Residency program at the BCA allows choreographers to create new work by providing free rehearsal and performance space, technical and administrative support, and direct financial assistance to be used at the artist’s discretion.
Currently in its seventh year, this program adds a supportive system for dance in Boston and builds the selected dance company’s repertoire to increase the amount of high quality dance in New England.
This season, up to three dance companies will be invited to participate in the residency program.
Applications for all residency sessions are due on Monday, June 20th by 5 pm
