They are also seeking new, exciting Dance Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Substitute Teachers to teach children and teens (ages 2 and up) for our external Boston Public School programs and studio classes.
It should be noted that most of our students are beginner dancers but excited to learn. They invite high-quality teachers with a professional dance education background to apply, including teachers with a BFA, BA and/or MFA strongly encouraged to apply. They strongly encourage BIPOC applicants.

A generous compensation of $60/hr will be awarded for each teacher. Teaching assistants can expect to earn $25/hour. Current college and graduate students with a dance background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Celebrity Series is looking for an organized, dynamic, and well-connected individual to take on the role of Project Manager, Ailey Revelations Celebration.  This temporary contract position supports project management of Ailey Revelations Celebration, a participatory dance event taking place in four Boston neighborhoods in March 2025. The Project Manager will lead the design, management, and execution details relating to four large-scale dance workshops taking place in Roxbury, Mattapan, Hyde Park, and Dorchester March 22-23, 2025. This role regularly engages with community members, local organizations, Celebrity Series staff and press relations team, production manager, plus staff and teaching artists with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

The second ever INSTINCT Experimental Dance Festival produced by ANIMAL Dance, will be held at Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center in Burlington VT January 4th-10th 2025! We are excited to invite the dance community of New England to apply to bring your dance offering to the 2025 festival. BIPOC encouraged to apply!

All applicants must be:
– Based in New England. (Please note, housing and transportation is not provided.)
– 23 years old and up.
– Dance artists who are currently working in movement-based practices.
– Proposals must be for a one-time event (workshop/informal showing/jam/etc), 1.5-2 hrs in length.
– Individual artists, collectives, multi-artist collaboratives and companies are invited to apply!

-There is a $200 stipend per offering. Three artists or collectives will be selected. Notifications will be sent out by end of day September 28th, 2024.

Our Sisters’ School (www.oursistersschool.org), based in New Bedford MA, is looking for a dynamic dance teacher to work with a group of 16 middle school girls on Friday mornings 8:30-9:30am, weekly. They have a $5,000 budget for the position and welcome teacher candidates who are motivated to work with a crew of kids from a dynamic and exciting school!

The Music and Dance department at Salem State University is seeking a part-time staff assistant coordinator (22.5 hours/week) to assist with departmental operations. Responsibilities include assisting faculty with planning and logistics for concerts, workshops, camps, and other campus events; coordinating space and scheduling; overseeing equipment and facilities (including a 165-seat recital hall, MIDI lab, recording studio, and the Sophia Gordon Center for the Arts); and training and supervising student workers. This role involves contributing to social media and publicity, coordinating public-facing activities such as festivals and summer camps, and assisting with event production, including occasional work on evenings and weekends.

Please Note: This is a permanent, part-time, benefited position (22.5 hours per week).

Fusionworks Dance Center has an opening for a jazz/tap teacher for the 2024-25 school year. We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile teacher to join our faculty of passionate and welcoming artists. Our tap and jazz classes, ranging in age from 7-adult, are held at our dance studio in Lincoln, RI.

Our ideal instructor is comfortable teaching and choreographing for beginner jazz and tap classes (ages 7-9) that will fortify foundational skills and also leading students through a more formal, intermediate curriculum in our open-level classes (ages 10+) in a safe and encouraging environment. Candidates must be able to accommodate various levels of ability in a classroom.

Additional teaching and choreographic opportunities can become available, as well as opportunities for subbing and helping manage our National Honor Society, for additional income.

Seeking certified Pilates Apparatus instructor able to commit to weekly schedule this summer/fall. We are looking for a highly motivated, independent instructor to teach our non-credit Pilates Apparatus classes (group, private, duet, and trios).
